I was born in Beijing, China. I completed my graduate studies and postdoc in the United States, where I lived in Atlanta, Berkeley, San Jose, and Pittsburgh. I will be moving to Vienna, Austria.

Here are my pets in San Jose: family dog Mako (who had a long life to 17), and feral cats Fatty, Sticky, and Cooly.

I started learning street dance at 18, beginning with jazz. In recent years, I’ve focused on animation and popping. I also met my husband through dance. I’m currently on a hiatus, but slowly returning to it.
